Intro to Walking Foot Quilting



Introduction to Walking Foot Quilting

Learn the basics of straight line quilting, as well as some more challenging design options including curves,  matchstick quilting and geometric designs. We'll also talk about tips and tricks for avoiding puckers, burying your threads, and preparing and marking your quilt for the best results. Time will be focused on practicing your new skills with hands on support. You can make quilted placemats in class or just play on scrap fabric.

Confident Beginner
Requirements:
Bring (4) Quilt Sandwiches cut 11 x 18 (a Fat Quarter will make 2): Two layers of fabric with batting in between. Sewing Machine and Extension Table for your machine (Helpful but not required) Walking Foot, New Sewing Machine Needle, Contrasting Thread, Extra Bobbins, Fabric pen or any pencil. Quilting Gloves helpful but not required
